Awasi Atacama & Awasi Iguazu - Connecting Northern Chile & Argentina

Awasi Atacama & Awasi Iguazu - Connecting Northern Chile & Argentina

This sample itinerary is intended to be a starting place to plan a unique journey for your clients. Even though Patagonia is closed from May - September due to the winter season, Chile and Argentina are still fantastic destinations to enjoy because we have figured out logistics that make visiting Atacama and Iguazu a perfect combination. During these months, Atacama has perfect weather in the daytime where temperatures are around 75º F with sunny skies, and chilly nights. Same for Iguazu. This is a nice change from the brutally hot days during December and January. You can also combine these destinations with skiing in Chile, exploring Rio in Brazil, or Buenos Aires in Argentina.

Please keep in mind that travelers from USA visiting Brazil will now need an E-Visa which takes about 2-5 days to obtain. It is very important that guests purchase this before visiting. Any questions, please reach out to us and we hope this helps inspire some new amazing journeys!

Awasi Atacama

Awasi Atacama

Atacama, Chile

San Pedro de Atacama has been an oasis for travelers for thousands of years; a place to stop and refresh the mind, body and spirit before continuing on through the Atacama—the world's driest desert. Awasi, meaning "at home" in the local kunza language, was created to continue the noble task of sheltering travelers and enriching their connection with the incredible culture and landscape of the Atacama Desert. The lodge reflects the traditional style of the Atacama people, featuring round adobe walls as well as stones and thatched roofs, while being interspersed with touches of modern luxury. Indoor and outdoor showers, spacious solariums, and oversize comfy armchairs draped with soft, handwoven alpaca blankets are staple in each of the 12 suites.

Awasi Iguazu

Iguazu, Argentina

Awasi Iguazu has set a new bar for luxury standards while also changing the visitor paradigm for Iguazu Falls and the region surrounding it. Travelers going to Iguazu Falls, and the travel industry that caters to it, had grown accustomed to the quick one night stay to see the falls as quickly as possible, and then depart. But Awasi decided it was a destination worthy of multiple nights and that there was much more to see "beyond the falls." Guests stay in one of 14 expansive villas on their private reserve just downstream of the falls on the Argentine side.
